  13. This file provides information for Shareware Distributors, Disk Vendors and 
  14. Computer Clubs who wish to distribute the Ample Notice/Win 1.01 package.

  22.                           DISTRIBUTION REQUIREMENTS 
  23.  
  24. Individuals who wish to distribute the Ample Notice package to friends or 
  25. associates may do so in accordance with the restrictions outlined in 
  26. LICENSE.TXT. 
  27.  
  28. Computer Clubs and User Groups wishing to add the Ample Notice package to 
  29. their disk library may do so in accordance with the Distribution Restrictions 
  30. listed below.

  32. If you would like your Computer Club or User Group to be placed on our mailing 
  33. list for future upgrades to any of our products, please contact us for 
  34. complete details.  Our address, phone number, and CompuServe User ID number is 
  35. listed in DESCRIBE.TXT.

  40. As the exclusive copyright holder for Ample Notice, Granny's Old-Fashioned 
  41. Software authorizes distribution only in accordance with the following 
  42. restrictions. 
  43.  
  44. ASP Approved Vendors in good standing are hereby given permission to distribute 
  45. the Ample Notice package by mail or phone order.  Rack sales are permitted only 
  46. by arrangement with Granny's.  Also, non-ASP member vendors must request 
  47. permission prior to distributing this package. 
  48.  
  49. The vendor must provide a copy of each new catalog in which Ample Notice is 
  50. listed.  In exchange, Granny's Old-Fashioned Software will continue to provide 
  51. the vendor with updates of Ample Notice. 
  52.  
  53. The Ample Notice package - including all related program files and 
  54. documentation files - CANNOT be modified in any way and must be distributed as 
  55. a complete package, without exception.  
  56.  
  57. Small additions to the package, such as the introductory or installation batch 
  58. files used by many shareware disk vendors, are acceptable. 
  59.  
  60. No price or other compensation may be charged for the Ample Notice package.  A 
  61. distribution fee may be charged for the cost of the diskette, shipping and 
  62. handling, as long as the total (per disk) does not exceed US$10.00 in the U.S. 
  63. and Canada, or US$12.00 internationally. 
  64.  
  65. Granny' Old-Fashioned Software reserves the right to cancel this agreement by 
  66. notifying the vendor in writing.
  67.  
  68. Disk Sets & CD-ROMs:

  70. The Ample Notice package CANNOT be sold as part of some other inclusive 
  71. package.  Nor can it be included in any commercial software packaging offer, 
  72. without a written agreement from Granny's Old-Fashioned Software.

  74. ASP Approved Vendors who wish to distribute the Ample Notice package as part 
  75. of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM package) may do so 
  76. provided that all the other restrictions are met. 
  77.  
  78. Vendors (non-ASP Vendor Members) who wish to distribute the Ample Notice 
  79. package as part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM 
  80. package) must obtain permission from Granny's Old-Fashioned Software prior to 
  81. beginning such a distribution.

  83. If you wish to add any of our programs to a CD-ROM or other collection, please 
  84. check the release date of the version you have.  If the version is over twelve 
  85. (12) months old then please contact us to ensure that you have the most 
  86. current version.

  88. Disk-of-the-Month (or Subscription) Distribution:

  90. If you would like to distribute the Ample Notice package as a Disk-of-the-
  91. Month, or as part of a subscription or monthly service, then the following 
  92. restrictions apply:

  94. ASP Associate (Disk Vendor) Members in good standing are hereby given 
  95. permission to distribute the Ample Notice package under the Disk-of-the-Month 
  96. style of distribution.  Others (non-ASP Members) must contact us in advance to 
  97. ensure that you have the most current version of the software.  You cannot use 
  98. a Disk-of-the-Month distribution to use up your inventory of old (out of date) 
  99. disks.  Only current versions may be shipped as Disk-of-the-Month disks. 
  100.  
  101. The PRINTED User's Guide may not be reproduced in whole or in part, using any 
  102. means, without the written permission of Granny's Old-Fashioned Software.  In 
  103. other words, the disk-based documentation may not be distributed in PRINTED 
  104. (hardcopy) form. 
  105.  
  106. The Ample Notice package cannot be "rented" or "leased" to others. 
  107.  
  108. You may not list any of our products in advertisements, catalogs, or other 
  109. literature which describes our products as "FREE SOFTWARE".  Shareware is 
  110. "Try-Before-You-Buy" software, it is not free. 
  111.  
  112. Granny's Old-Fashioned Software prohibits the distribution of outdated 
  113. versions of the Ample Notice package, without written permission from Granny's 
  114. Old-Fashioned Software. If the version you have is over twelve (12) months 
  115. old, please contact us to ensure that you have the most current version.  
  116.  
  117. Licensee shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile, 
  118. disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the licensed program 
  119. except as provided in this agreement.  Any such unauthorized use shall result 
  120. in immediate and automatic termination of this license.

  122. U.S. Government Information:  Use, duplication, or disclosure by the U.S. 
  123. Government of the computer software and documentation in this package shall be 
  124. subject to the restricted rights applicable to commercial computer software as 
  125. set forth in subdivision (b)(3)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and 
  126. Computer Software clause at 252.227-7013 (DFARS 52.227-7013).  The Contractor/ 
  127. manufacturer is Granny's Old-Fashioned Software, Route 4, Box 216, Boone, NC 
  128. 28607-9423.

  130. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved to Granny's Old-Fashioned 
  131. Software.

  166. If you are NOT an ASP Approved Vendor (in good standing), but you would still 
  167. like to receive automatic updates directly from us, send us a letter with your 
  168. name, company name, mailing address, the name of the person we should contact 
  169. (such as your disk librarian) and the program (or programs) for which you 
  170. would like to receive updates.  Available programs are Ample Notice for DOS and 
  171. Ample Notice for Windows.

  173. NOTE: ASP Associate Members automatically receive free updates and do not need 
  174. to apply for the Vendor Update Program.  This is yet another advantage to 
  175. being an ASP Associate Member.
